Senior-ness and Art Class, UNITE!
My overall goals for this class are to really sharpen my skills and to see what its like to be a semi-professional artist. I really want to make ridiculously cool projects and share them with people. I'm really looking forward to basically having free-will as far as projects go. I'm also really excited to mix different medias together rather than have to stick to just paint or just clay. I'm pretty nervous for getting my projects up and out in the public. The idea of asking the owner of a business to but my artwork in their space is a little intimidating but I guess that's how the big dogs do and now I'm running with the big dogs.
Projects that I would really like to do:
1st Semester-
August: Shadow box with a collage of pictures and some little items scattered in the shadow box.
September: Painting with the words "You Make Me New" at the top and bottom.
October: Clay teapot with intricate handles.
November: Do a really intense, realistic portrait of my cousin Kylie.
December: Make a clay nativity with my own twist on it.
2nd Semester-
January: A painting and sculpture thing made out of a mirror mixed into one wicked project.
February: Two clay cups and two clay dishes
March: Three canvases with crosses representing the day at Calvary. The paintings will also have text on them.
April: Make a clay house that has kinda got a Seuss twist on it.
May: A scrapbook of sorts that contains things about me, myself, and I.
